A budgie Housing Sub forum?

Where you have budgie mutations etc. it could have budgie housing with dicussions about aviaries,cages,play gyms,play areas etc.

i recently converted an entire room into a bird area, complete with installing perches on the walls and long climbing rope in the corners and what not but i would love to find out what else i can add and get tips from other people!

That is just so awesome SkyZazel! I really hope to do that someday as well! My plan is to have a tile floor and plastic shielding half way up the walls. Then I will have perches on the walls, tree stands and rope ladders everywhere. I hope to be able to never force my birds to stay behind bars. For now, I just have to get the biggest cages I can afford and give them lots of out of cage time.

I totally didnt plan it! but it was sooo worth it, it started with me just watching them climb on stuff and realizing alot of stuff in my house would be good for them to play with and then the bird room was born!

my keets are free flighted and i had some lamps in their room that they would fly to....so i added more lamps...then started nailing climbing rope to the walls and then i got my sun conure, and he requires alot of stuff to do since hes only 4 months old and so i got a ton of manzanita and the bird room was born...my land lord even thinks its cool...thankfully!

when i get out of these college apartments im going to build perches into the walls in as many rooms as i can. its soo cool to see them flying around, and it gave the feathered kids a place where they can make as much noise as they want...and they sure take advantage of that!
