Sunshine's new home

well, sunshine has adjusted well and i got her to perch on my finger for a few minutes! homer is standing on her roof now, and all the others (except apple) are as close as possible to her. homer is doing really cute circles around her head, and there was a bit of noise from her. i have seen nibbles on the millet stick i put in her temporary cage. she seems very healthy and active. she'll stay in that cage until her wings grow back, but i will be putting her in the big cage to interact with the others and taking her out to tame her.

Unless you've got her completely separated in another room for quarantine purposes (which you obviously don't, and it's too late for now anyway) or taming/training reasons, you might try putting her in the big cage with the other birds.  The clipped wings probably won't make as much of a difference as you think they will.  S/he'll do more climbing than the others, but will still be able to do quite a bit of flying.  Having the room to practice her limited flying abilities now will ultimately make her a stronger flier when she molts and grows those flights back in.

i saw her watching the other birds swarm the bowls and veggies at dinner time. then she flew (or rather fell gently) down to peck at some seeds.

ps vanilla and uno feed each other every day

I saw her eat out of the highest bowl. It is located at the top, het favorite spot. I will fill that for them more.

As far as I can tell, she looks like a dilute light green opaline clearflight pied.  But whatever her mutation is, she's stunning!  Sunshine is the perfect name for her.  Ya done well!  :)  Two thumbs up!
